In 2011 one of the four kumpaninnen got mail from Klaus Albrecht Schröder. In a call for donations, the head of Albertina asked for financial support for his museum which - as he put it - was troubled due to recent economic crises. As the situation of the Albertina seemed to be precarious, the kumpaninnen decided to help the museum in any way they could. In spring and summer 2012, we developed the kumpe - our own currency which is especially designed for the working conditions in the art field. On 4th October 2012, we met Klaus Albrecht Schröder in person to present him with a suitcase full of kumpen worth 284. 176. 602,1. He was very happy. In addition, the kumpaninnen made an interview with Schröder about art and money, which can be read here.
